Privacy Policy

True North Supply (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a division of Ayres Capital Enterprises LTD., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through truenorthsupply.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for commercial electronic messages, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Who is responsible for your information
The organization responsible for your personal information is Ayres Capital Enterprises LTD. (operating as True North Supply), 10 Sonora Terrace, Scarborough, Ontario M1N 1H8, Canada. Privacy contact: hello@truenorthsupply.ca.
2. Information we collect
When you join the list
The sign-up forms ask only for your email address. With it we record when you signed up and confirmed, the IP address and browser you used, the page you signed up on, the page you came from and any campaign tags in the link you followed. We keep this as the record of your consent.
When you email us
We keep the messages you send to hello@truenorthsupply.ca and our replies.
When you visit the site
- Our web host keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request.
- Our analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you (see section 6).
Our shop is not open. We do not take orders or payments, and we do not run customer accounts.
3. How we use your information
- To tell you when the shop opens, and to send other updates from True North Supply if you have confirmed your subscription.
- To reply to your emails, including enquiries from makers.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
- To keep the site secure and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
4. Email and consent (CASL)
- Express consent. We email only people who have signed up and then confirmed their address by clicking the link in our confirmation email.
- Sender identification. Every email identifies True North Supply and Ayres Capital Enterprises LTD. and includes a valid contact method.
- Unsubscribe. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we will action it within 10 business days. You can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@truenorthsupply.ca.
- Records of consent. We keep records of when and how consent was obtained.
5. Service providers
We share personal information only with the providers we need to run the site and the list. We do not sell your personal information.

We may also disclose information where required by law.
6. Cookies and analytics
This site does not set cookies. Our analytics (Umami) is cookieless: it does not track you across other websites and gives us only aggregate statistics. For that reason there is no cookie banner; this section is our disclosure.
7. How long we keep your information
- Mailing list: kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period to honour the opt-out. We keep the consent record as long as the law requires.
- Emails: kept while we handle your message and for a reasonable follow-up period.
- Analytics: kept in aggregate, non-identifying form.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Where your information is processed
Some of our providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws and accessible to local authorities. We take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.
9. Your rights under PIPEDA
You have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for your personal information, and to ask questions about our practices. To exercise these rights, email hello@truenorthsupply.ca. We respond within the timeframes required by PIPEDA (generally within 30 days) and may verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption and access controls on our accounts. No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
11. Children’s privacy
Our site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact hello@truenorthsupply.ca and we will delete it.
12. Links to other websites
Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last revised, and changes are posted on this page.
